KindMath Problem index
Middle School Math
These are tools that are intended to help middle-schoolers with division.
Tools for both Big Seven and Standard Algorithm are provided as tools to increase the practice of finding multiples of the divisor that can be subtracted from the dividend.
Middle and High School Math
This page has a number of links that allows the student to practice solving factors and quadratic equations. It is not expected to teach the algebra just provide step by step feedback to the student attempting to perform the steps correctly. The program will score each attempt as follows:
A +2 the student wrote a shorter equivalent expression to the previous equation.
A +1 the student wrote an equivalent expression in the equation.
A -1 the expression is not equivalent, nor shorter to the previous step.
In general, the idea is to help students write steps that are equivalent and in progression, to reach the solution.
- Word problems. Practice reading and seting up simple word problems.
- Algebra questions that contain variables.
For Teachers
The program provide the ability to choose a number of each type of problem as shown in the table below. A practice set for each student can be set up by entering the number of each set by type. The program is designed in a way that each student is given a test with similar questions but they are not all the same questions. Note: a feature for randomizing the order and make all questions the same is on our ToDo list.
